Josh Finkelstein founded Colorado Counsel LLC to fill a gap in the market: effective and affordable legal solutions for growing businesses. The traditional legal services model is too expensive and inflexible for these clients. As a result, they forgo legal counsel when they need it most, leading to missed opportunities and expensive problems down the road. Josh Finkelstein
Attorney and Founder
Josh has extensive experience in a wide range of business matters, including entity choice and formation, contract drafting and negotiation, employment law, business and intellectual property disputes, real estate, banking, securities, creditor claims, and trust and estate matters. He is licensed to practice before both state and federal courts in Colorado.
Before founding Colorado Counsel LLC, Josh practiced in the Denver office of a large international law firm, focusing in the area of commercial litigation. Josh also served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Phillip S. Figa of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
Josh earned his law degree at the University of Colorado School of Law, where he graduated at the top of his class. He served as an editor of the Colorado Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Before attending law school, Josh worked as a software engineer, traveling around the U.S., France, and Belgium to consult on custom software implementations for some of the world’s largest telecommunications providers. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside the office, Josh enjoys spending time in the mountains. He has climbed some of the world's most beautiful and difficult peaks. His writing and photographs have been published in Climbing Magazine, Rock & Ice Magazine, and The American Alpine Journal, as well as various commercial publications.
